A new low record!
June 17th, 2021It’s not always about having more power. This time we were able to pump our Optical Parametric Amplifier (OPA) AVUS, with only ~ 8 W at 2 MHz, resembling only 4 µJ of energy per pulse. Even with this low energy we achieved our standard specification of the conversion efficiency > 12% at peak (Signal+Idler).
Prof. Dr. Katharina Franke uses > 40 W of a Yb-laser for a sophisticated THz generation setup. The remaining power is converted with our AVUS to have a tunable beam between 620 … 2600 nm with an exceptional Beam Quality M² at 900 nm.
Thanks to the Experimental Nanophysics group of FU Berlin for the opportunity to push our products beyond their limits. Link
