AVUS Short-pulse Debuts at Photonics West 2018

A short-pulse version of AVUS from APE debuts at SPIE BIOS & Photonics West in San Francisco (27 January - 1 February 2018) as part of the Optical Parametric Amplifier (OPA) product line. OPAs from APE are frequency converters for femtosecond laser used for spectroscopy and microscopy applications. With respect to microscopy applications, the new AVUS SP with shorter pulses of 70 fs (and below) will increase the imaging contrast and improve the signal-to-noise ratio. The improvement is due to...
