High energy OPA system for picosecond-CARS
June 22nd, 2021For the specific experimental requirements of our customer at Institute of Applied Physics (IAP) in Jena, we developed a customized high energy Optical Parametric Amplifier (OPA). This device is able to deliver laser pulses with over 160 µJ of energy, and has a wavelength tuning range between 700 and 940 nm. A key feature of this system is its very narrow and constant spectral bandwidth of 20 cm-1 achieved over the entire spectral range.
Together with the mJ-energy of the ps-pump laser, the setup is perfectly suited for picosecond Coherent anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) analysis of high pressure gas. The group of Prof. Dr. Stefan Nolte is presenting their first results this week on the CLEO/Europe-EQEC 2021 conference. If you are interested to learn more about their research, please visit the poster presentation from Xiaodong Zhao on June 23th, 10-11 o’clock CEST (poster number CF-P.12).
We are certain that we will see more interesting results from the Ultrafast Optics group at the IAP Jena in the near future. Link
